Volleyball Team Swept by Owls

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - The Eastern Oregon University Volleyball team lost it's second match in as many days after reeling off seven consecutive wins.  Saturday's loss came at Oregon Tech where the Owls beat EOU 3-0 (30-23, 30-28, 30-20).

 

After losing game one the Mounties found themselves ahead most of game two.  Eastern had leads of 13-7 and 22-18.  After allowing Tech to tie the game at 26 EOU stumbled a bit down the stretch and the Owls capitalized winning the second.  OIT dominated the third and final game, leading that one from start to finish.

 

The Mountaineers (12-8, 9-5 CCC) now find themselves in a tie for 4th place while Oregon Tech (18-9, 10-4 CCC) gained sole posession of 3rd.

 

Grace Deboodt led the Mounties with 17 kills while Chelsea Herron tallied 21 assists and Kiley Cobb totaled 21 digs.

 

Eastern will try and bounce back Friday and Saturday night as they host Concordia and Corban.  Both with start at 7:00pm  Saturdays match against the Warriors will also serve as senior night for Chelsea Lally, Kiley Cobb, Jolene George, Christy and Cathy Savage.
