Destination Gresham: Site of the CCC Championship Meet

LA GRANDE, Ore. - At 4:00 pm on Thursday Chris Hoppie and Lucas Ohmes will kick start the 2008 Cascade Conference Championship Meet with the running of the Men's Decathlon 100 Meter Dash.  Hoppie and Ohmes along with the rest of the Men's Decathlon field will compete in the first of 12 events held on the first day of this three day event.

 

The site of this years championships is one that is familiar to the Mounties as they competed in the Mount Hood / Concordia Invite in Gresham on April 26th.

 

This week EOU will send a large group of athletes to test themselves against the best that the Cascade Conference has to offer.  That group will be led by 13 Mountaineers that have reached the NAIA National Auto or Provisional Mark in at least on event and three multi-event athletes that rank in the top 10 nationally (the top 16 combined event athletes qualify for the national meet).
