Track & Field Sends 12 to NAIA National Meet

La Grande, Ore - The Eastern Oregon University Track and Field team has qualified 12 athletes to compete at the NAIA National Meet in Fresno, California. 

 

The Men, fresh off there tie for first place at the Cascade Conference Championships, will send five members of the team.  Adam Goulet will run the 800, while Adam Miller will compete in the 400 meter Hurdles. Matt Lane, Lucas Ohmes and Chris Hoppie will be entered in the Decathlon.

 

The women, who finished 2nd at the conference meet, will send seven.  The 4x100 team of Grace Deboodt, Chelsee Harmon, Danielle Reis and Danielle Murphy will be joined by Kayla Weissert in the Pole Vault and Marcella Bosch in the 1500.

 

Deboodt, Harmon, Ries and Murphy will also be entered in the 4X400 relay. 

 

Kasie Gillespie will compete in the Heptathlon and could possibly be entered in the 4x100 and the 4x400 while Grace Deboodt will also be throwing the Javalin.

 

The team will fly out of Boise on Wednesday and begin competetion Thursday the 24th thru Saturday the 26th.
