Mounties Cool Off with the Temperature in Game 2

3.21.08

LA GRANDE, Ore. - The Eastern Oregon University Softball Team had no problem heating up Anderson Field despite the frigid temperature in the first game of their double header with Corban College.  Unfortunatly, game two was a different story, as the Warrors battled back to earn a split. (8-0, 0-8)

Game one was dominated by the pithching of senior ace Melodee Mildenberger who shut out the Warriors giving up just 3 hits and no runs in 5 innings.

3rd Baseman Lydia Holm provided much of the offense in that first contest, going 2-2 with a walk and 3 RBI as Eastern ran away from Corban 8-0.

Game two saw Eastern (3-4, 2-2 CCC) cool off from the plate while Corban (4-7, 1-1 CCC) managed to heat up during the intermintent snow showers at Anderson Field.

The Mountaineers could muster just one hit against Corban's Erin Sailors and lost to CC 0-8.
