Mounties Kick Off Busy March with BMCC Scrimmage

Pendleton, Ore. - The EOU Softball team hit the field for the first of twenty plus contests during the month of March.  This one, against Blue Mountain Community College, served as a scrimmage for the Mountaineers.

Eastern split with The Timberwolves losing the first game 5-2 then bouncing back to win game two 6-4.

The Mounties struggled a bit defensively with a couple of untimely errors that cost them the first but played better defensively in the second game.

Offensively Vanessa Wood finished the day 5-7 with a couple of doubles and 4 RBI. Megan Platz also hit the ball well going 3-7 with a homerun.  Third Baseman Lydia Holm went 4-8.

The Mountaineers will travel to Caldwell this weekend for The College of Idaho Tournament where they will get in 5 games in two days.
