Mounties Hit the Ground Running in Costa Rica

San Jose, Costa Rica - After a full day of travel and another that included a tour of San Jose and it's National Children's Hospital, the Mounties played their first game against the Junior National Team Thursday night. Eastern cruised to a 95-18 victory.
Neil Fryer led all scorers with 21 points, including an array of crowd pleasing dunks. Mark Carollo and Dan Blanchard and had 15 and 13 points, respectively, while Kyle Janke dropped in 10.
Earlier in the day, the Mountie hoopsters and the rest of their travel party took an hour bus ride into the highlands for a zip line canopy tour through the rain forest.
On Wednesday, the team spent a couple of hours visiting the National Children's Hospital. The team presented gifts and many smiles were exchanged on this country's Mother's Day.
The Mountaineers will face one of the country's professional teams on Friday.
