EOU Falls at Montana Tech, 35-17

Eastern Oregon will have to wait another week at a chance to crack the win column after suffering their fifth loss of the season, 35-17, at Montana Tech.

Both teams threw the ball 22 times in the game, Montana Tech completed 13, while EOU completed just six. Eastern also turned the ball over three times, two interceptions and one fumble.

Tech moved 370 yards on 75 plays to Eastern's 266 yards on 58 plays. The Ore Diggers' Corey Warner ran for 198 yards on 38 carries. Montana Tech finished with 253 yards total on the ground.

EOU struggled on third-downs converting on two of 13 attempts. Tech was not too much better in the third-down area either going 6 for 16.

Montana Tech returned the ball well, having an average of 24.5 yards on kick-returns.

The Ore Diggers move to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in conference play. The Mountaineers drop to 0-5 overall and 0-4 in the Frontier conference.
