The Streak Continues at Eight

Tiffanie Ulmer's 35 points powered the Eastern (8-0) (3-0) women to a 85-65 victory at Cascade College's Thunderdome.

 

The win continues the longest win streak to open a season in school history at eight victories. Eastern shot remarkably well from the field in the first half, 63 percent, which propelled them to the victory.

 

EOU's defense was equally as good only allowing Cascade (7-5) (0-2) to make 37 percent from the field. Eastern led by 17 points at the intermission, 45-28. The Mountaineers finished the game shooting 56 percent from the field.

 

Laura Olsen added 11 points, while Elise Hawes had ten points and five assists for EOU. Te Awhina Aranui led the Thunderbirds in scoring with 25 points and 13 rebounds. Amy Russell also had 12 points and Raquel Moran added 11 points for Cascade.

 

Eastern travels across town in Portland for tomorrow's game at Warner Pacific, who fell tonight to the College of Idaho.
