Harriers Excel at Region 1 Championships

In a year that EOU cross country has dominated, Saturday was no different in Olympia, Washington for the Eastern harriers. The Mountaineer men finished second overall, behind a ninth place finish from Zach Heath. The women finished third overall, behind Marcella Bosch's seventh place finish.

With those top ten finished, Bosch and Heath made the All-Region 1 team. The women entered the meet at number 17 in the nation and fourth in the region; while the men at number ten in the country and second in the region.

The women finished ahead of 15th-ranked Lewis and Clark State, while the men finished ahead of number eight Lewis and Clark State.

The men and women have a week off before heading to Kenosha, Wisconsin for the NAIA national championships on November 17th.
