
KANSAS CITY, Mo.- Mark Carollo and Sheena Henderson both had record breaking years this season for the men's and women's basketball programs. On Tuesday they added one more highlight to their phenomenal careers, All-Americans.
Carollo was named to the nation's second-team, becoming the first male player in Eastern Oregon basketball history to covet NAIA All-America honors.
Carollo, a 6-5 senior from Hermiston, Ore., led Eastern Oregon to its first conference title in 38 years and a first-ever berth in the national tournament. Carollo averaged 19.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
Henderson made the All-American honorable mention list in her senior season. She averaged 15.0 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Henderson had14 points and 13 rebounds in the schools first ever National Tournament victory on March 12 over Cardinal Stritch (Wis.).
