LA GRANDE, Ore. - The number one seeded Eastern Oregon Mountaineers took care of business at home against the eighth seeded Northwest Christian College 81-58 in the quarterfinals matchup of the Cascade Conference Tournament.

After falling down 5-0 early, the Mounties went on a 17-2 run and never trailed again, building their lead to as much as 25 at one point in the second half. Mark Carollo led EOU with 16 points on 6 of 8 shooting from the field.

Josh Jarrett led the Beacons with 15 points and 15 rebounds in his final collegiate game. After the slow start, Eastern heated up from the floor, as they shot a blistering 51 percent for the game. NCC had a hard time dealing with Eastern?s pressure defense as they turned the ball over 20 times.

Eastern's next opponent will be Warner Pacific on Saturday in Quinn Coliseum at 7:30 pm.
