The Eastern Oregon University Mountaineers won an easy one over the Multnomah Bible College Lions 106-43.
This one was over from the opening tipoff as the Mounties jumped out to a 9-0 lead and never looked back. EOU shot 63 percent from the field in the first half taking a 55-25 lead into intermission.
Sunny Nilson led the way for the Mounties with 34 points on 15 for 21 shooting from the field. Lizzie Clemen was the leading scorer for the Lions with 20 points.
The Mounties had plenty of second chance opportunities as they pulled down 22 offensive rebounds for the game. Overall EOU out-rebounded the Lions 69 to 17. EOU also dominated the paint 70 to 14 over the Lions and scored 33 of their points on the fast break.
With the win the Mountaineers improve to 19-3 overall and 12-2 in conference. The Lions fall to 3-18 overall with this loss. The next matchup for EOU is Concordia on Friday night. Concordia is 13-11 overall and 9-5 in conference. Tipoff for the game is at 5:30 pm at Quinn Coliseum.
