Cross Country Continues to Roll

The latest NAIA national cross country polls are out, and Eastern Oregon University once again impressed the voters. After finishing first on the men's and women's sides of the Cascade Conference Championships, Eastern continues to rise with the country's elite.

In the seventh ranking ranking of the season the EOU men remained at the number nine spot in the poll with 147 votes. The men also stayed at the number two position in the Region 1 rating.

The women climbed two spots to number 17 with 90 votes, 14 more than last week. The women leaped over the College of Idaho in the Region 1 rating to number four.

Both teams have the weekend off to train for the November 3rd Region 1 championships in Olympia, Washington. There they will face-off with the region's best. On the women's side, number one Simon Fraser, number seven British Columbia, number 16 Lewis and Clark State, and number 20 the College of Idaho. On the men's side number eight Lewis and Clark State, number 15 Southern Oregon, and number 23 the College of Idaho.
