Head Coach (9th Season)

Weissenfluh begins her 9th season as head women's basketball coach of the Mountaineers. During her tenure, Mountaineer teams have either shared or won outright five Cascade Collegiate Conference titles won two Conference Tournament Championships and appeared in the NAIA National Tournament four times.  In 2007-2008 Weissenfluh guided the Mountaineers to the schools first ever "sweet sixteen" appearance at the NAIA Division II National Tournament.

Weissenfluh contributes a lot of her success to the fact that they play an up-tempo, quick, and aggressive style of basketball. That style has been a big factor in the Mounties six 20 plus win seasons under Weissenfluh, including each of the last five.  In those five years Eastern is an amazing 79-13 in the Cascade Conference.

Anji's teams have accumulated a number of records during her seven years behind the wheel, including best season in program history in 2003-2004 (26-3).  During the 2003-2004 campaign she led EOU to 19 straight conference victories, a school record.  Weissenfluh is also the winningest coach in program history with 163 wins.

There have also been some great individual success stories in the women's basketball program under Weissenfluh.  Her teams have produced five NAIA All-Americans, three Cascade Conference Players of the Year and nine 1st Team All-Conference selections.

Women's basketball has also had a long standing tradition of success in the classroom.  In her seven seasons EOU has had 10 NAIA Scholar Athletes and two NAIA Champions of Character.

If all of that wasn't enough Weissenfluh and her teams have put a huge emphasis on a variety community outreach projects.  Some of those projects include, the 12-Hour Drug Free Relay, the Fire and Safety Fair and Shelter from the Storm just to name a few.

As a four-year starter for the Mountaineers, Weissenfluh was an All-Conference selection. Upon completion of her eligibility she became the Head Softball Coach at Eastern Oregon.

As the schools first Softball coach Weissenfluh led the Mounties to more than 250 victories in eleven seasons.  During that time frame Anji was named Coach of the Year on 5 separate occasions.  In 1999 her squad finished 4th in the nation followed by a 5th place finish in 2000.

Before taking over the reigns as the Head Women's hoops coach, Weissenfluh also spent three years as the head girl's basketball coach at Union High School and two as an assistant at EOU.

Weissenfluh graduated from EOU in 1994 with a degree in Physical Education and Health and is currently working on her master's degree in sports administration.
