Twin Falls, Idaho - Playing for the first time outside of Quinn Coliseum the Eastern Oregon University Volleyball team squared off against four national junior colleges on Friday, winning one.

In the first match the Mounties lost to Casper College 30-25, 32-30, 15-11. Eastern then squared off against Salt Lake, losing both games 20-30, 22-30.

The third match was against eight time national juco champion Eagles of Southern Idaho.  EOU came up short, losing 29-31,22-30.

In the final match of the day the Mountaineers knocked off Colorado Northwestern 30-15, 30-22.

None of the contest will count on the Mounties record, however Head Coach Kaki McLean sees plenty of value in playing, "This is how we find out what works."  Coach McLean went on to say, "We played some nationally ranked junior colleges and hung right with them."  "Tomorrow we just need to come out and play our game."

EOU will play three more matches Saturday, starting with Western Wyoming at 9:00am MT
