Missy Wheeler

Head Coach

 

Missy Wheeler enters her third season as the leader of the Eastern Oregon University Softball team. As a former Mountaineer softball and basketball player Wheeler came back to La Grande after a two year stint in dual roles at Caldwell (Idaho) High School as assistant softball and head girls' basketball coach.

.

Wheeler was a member of the Mountaineer's 1999 fourth place NAIA National Tournament squad and a point guard for the Mountaineers during the 1997-98 season.

 

Coach Wheeler graduated from EOU in 2001then spent time coaching at Vallivue and Caldwell High Schools after leaving La Grande.  In 2004 she was honored as the Coach of the Year at Vallivue.

 

 


Meghan Henderson

Assistant Coach

 

Henderson joins the Mountaineer coaching staff after an outstanding career at EOU.  The La Grande High Graduate was a two time All-Conference and All-Region selection as a Catcher for the Mounties. 


Ben Greer

Assistant Coach

 

 

Ben Greer is in his 2nd year as a student assistant for the Mountaineers.  Greer was a spectacular prep athlete at Rainier High School, where he graduated in 2005.  He was a two time All-Conference Football player and a All-State Basketball and Baseball player.

 

At Eastern Greer is working towards his Exercise Science / Physical Education and Health degree.
