Basketball Players Earn Academic All-Conference Award

LA GRANDE, Ore. - The Cascade Conference announced its Men's and Women's Basketball Academic All-Conference team earlier today.
To earn recognition as a CCC scholar-athlete, a student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5, sophomore standing, and participate in at least 50 percent of his or her team’s contests. Three Mountaineers made the cut.
Paul Carollo, Amanda Matson and Elise Hawes all met the criteria in the classroom while reaching incredible heights on the hardwood.
The trio helped lead their teams to Conference Championships as well as sweet sixteen finishes at their respective national tournaments. All three stand to be named Academic All-America as well.
