Weaver Earns All-America Honors

Sioux City, Iowa - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2007 Division II Women's Basketball All-America teams. Players are selected by the All-America committee. 

 

Eastern Oregon University stand out Christie Weaver has been named to the All-America Third Team.  For Weaver, it is likely the last of numerous basketball related awards that she has earned over her stellar career.  This season she was also named Cascade Conference Player of the Year.

 

On the season, the La Grande native averaged 16 points and just under 7 rebounds per contest.  She shot 46% (167-363) from the field and 45% (101-221) from the three point line. 

 

For her career she ranks 3rd on the all-time scoring list with more than 1,500 points.  Weaver has also made 290 three pointers which puts her comfortably in front of Tricia Haddock who sits in second place with 171.
