EOU Hangs Tough With BYU

PROVO, Utah - If there really are moral victories in sports The Eastern Oregon University's Women's Basketball team scored one Saturday night when they lost 53-41 to NCAA Division I Brigham Young University in an exhibition game held in Provo, Utah.

 

BYU (currently receiving votes in the USA Today top 25 poll) spent time last season ranked in the top 25 in the country.

 

EOU got as close at 11 on a couple of occasions during the second half before finally bowing out with a 12 point loss to the Cougars.

 

The Mountaineers were led by Senior Forward Sheena Henderson's 13 points.  Junior Breana Olsen played well again scoring 10 points and pulling down 6 boards in 24 minutes of action. 

 

Fellow Junior Jenny Fiso had a well rounded game with 6 points, a team high 7 rebounds and a couple of assists.
