Mounties Come From Behind to Drop Warriors

Down for the better part of the game Saturday night, The Eastern Oregon Women's Basketball Team (15-5) rallied to knock off Corban College (16-6) 73-66 in a battle of Cascade Conference power house teams.

With the win, EOU now finds itself in a three way tie with Corban and OIT for second place in the conference standings, despite battling through what coach Weissenfluh says has been a difficult season. "The team has seen a lot of adversity this season with injuries and such.  For us to be in this position at this point in the season is a great accomplishment."

Junior's Tiffanie Ulmer and Sheena Henderson led the Mounties in scoring with 19 and 18 points respectively.  Ulmer went 7-11 from the field scoring inside and outside while her classmate was 7-13 doing much of her damage around the basket.

Senior Christie Weaver just missed her second consecutive double-double scoring 12 points and collecting 9 rebounds.  She also handed out 5 assists on the night.

Eastern will travel to Seattle next weekend to face The Evergreen State College (3-16) Friday and Northwest University (9-14) on Saturday.  Both games are scheduled to start at 5:30pm.
