Mountie Women Defeat Cascade

Eastern started Saturday's game against Cascade College right where they left off Friday nights game versus Warner Pacific. They struggled offensively scoring just 20 points in the first half before getting it going in the second stanza and defeating the Thunderbirds 62-48.
The 42 points scored by the Mounties in the second half was just 2 points less than the they scored in the entire game the night before in their win over WPC.
Christie Weaver led the attack for EOU scoring a game high 22 points on 8 of 16 shooting, including 4 of 7 from behind the arc. Tiffanie Ulmer added 14 points and 5 rebounds and Elise Hawes chipped in with 10 points and 7 rebounds.
Eastern will face OIT on Friday in an important game. Both teams are 5-2 in league play and tied for second place. That game will be played in La Grande and is set to start at 5:30pm.
