Henderson Heads the List of Mountie All-Conference Selections

La Grande, Ore - After leading the Eastern Oregon University Softball team with her play behind the dish and in the batters box, Meghan Henderson was voted to the Cascade Conference 1st Team.  Henderson also boasts a batting average of 378, a slugging percentage of .598. She led the Mounties in Hits and was second in Runs Scored.

 

The La Grande High School alum finished her senior season Saturday at Pioneer Park.

 

Staff ace Melodee Mildenberger, Third Baseman Lydia Holm and Center fielder Michelle St. John were voted Honorable Mention All-Conference for their performances this season.  The three juniors will lead a strong group of returning players next season.

 

Mildenberger went 6-5 with an ERA of 2.43, while batting .389 with 4 doubles and a homerun.   Meanwhile, St. John provided athleticism in the outfield while batting .300.  She led the team in runs scored with 24.

 

Holm hit .311and was second on the team in hits with 41on the season, 9 of those hits were doubles.  She also was tied for the team lead in long balls with 7 and brought "Holm" a team best 26 RBI.
