Tuscon, Ariz - After losing a close one in the first game of the day to St. Olaf 5-6, The Mounties rallied to pick up a win against the host team Graceland.  Hannah Kirk's walk-off grand slam homerun gave EOU the win over the yellow jackets 8-7.  The Mounties (8-7, 2-2) were unable to carry the momentum into the final game against Graceland losing 6-11.

Head Coach Missy Wheeler was pleased with the way her team put the ball in play but the defense left something to be desired, "We had 10 errors in three games.  We are probably lucky to have won the one we did."  Wheeler went on to say, "It just wasn't our day defensively."

Besides the obvious, Hannah Kirk had a nice day at the plate collecting 5 hits in 9 at bats.  Lindsey Smith was 6-11 with a homerun.  Lydia Holm also finished the day 6-11 and had a couple of doubles.  Senior Meghan Henderson went 4-10 from the dish.

Vanessa Wood and Iris Woodhead both homered today.

Eastern will enjoy a day off before returning to the field on Thursday.  They will face St. Olaf at 11:00am then Graceland at 3:00pm on Thursday before flying back on Friday.  "The girl's are looking forward to a day off to have some fun in the sun before getting back to it on Thursday."  according to Coach Wheeler.
