LA GRANDE, Ore. - "You could not have written a better script for senior night." Those were the words of the NAIA's newest member of the 1,600 point club. This from the bench, after scoring 40 points and securing the schools first ever trip to the National Tournament.
The 81-65 win over Northwest Christian gave Eastern Oregon its first Conference Championship in more than 30 years.
After an emotional pregame ceremony celebrating EOU's four seniors; Dan Blanchard, Nick Finley, Kyle Janke and of course Carollo, Mark went out and scored 28 points .... in the first half! The Hermiston native tossed in 12 points in the second half as the Mounties cruised to victory.
EOU's all-time leading scorer has now amassed 1,631 points.
