Four Mounties Earn Post Season Awards

La Grande Ore.  For the second time in the three year tenure of Head Coach Ryan Looney the Eastern Oregon University Mountaineers has a First Team All-Conference Performer. Sophomore forward Paul Carollo was voted by the coaches onto the First Team.

The Hermiston native was a double-double machine this season, recording 13. Carollo ranks first in the conference and 20th in the nation in rebounds with 8.9 per game. His 13 double-doubles is 12th best in the country. He also averages 11.2 points per contest.

Two other sophomores were named to the Honorable Mention All-Conference Team. Point Guard Jeremy Templeton averaged 10.9 points and 4.9 assists per contest. Tanner McIntosh averages of 12.5 points and 4.9 rebounds were also good enough to garner the Cascade Conference coach's attention.


Senior Derek Brown was named to the All-Defensive Team. The Spokane native led the conference in blocked shots and ranked 21st nationally in the category.
