PORTLAND, Ore. - A total of 75 Cascade Collegiate Conference student-athletes in the fall sports of volleyball, cross country and soccer have been named to the league's Academic All-Conference team, the conference office announced today.


To earn Academic All-Conference recognition, student-athletes must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA, reached sophomore standing, and competed in a minimum of 50 percent of their team's contests this fall.

 

Cross Country's Sara Bates and Stephanie Windle made the cut as well as Soccer's Tennly Paul-Bowden and Volleyball's Chelsea Herron and Danielle Kelley.

 

Bates and Windle have racked up numerous academic accolades while at EOU including, the Daktronics-NAIA Cross Country Scholar-Athlete Award in the fall of 2007. 

 

For Paul-Bowden, Herron and Kelley it is their first such award.  This is also the first time the the trio of sophomores have been eligible to receive such an honor.
