The Eastern Oregon University Men's Basketball Team has been ranked #23 in
the nation by the NAIA. The Mounties were also ranked 23rd in the NAIA
preseason poll which came out November 1st. Eastern began it's season by
breaking the school record for most consecutive wins to start a season with 7.
Since then the Mounties dropped two close games to Willamette then
Albertson before beating Whitman College to bring their record to 8-2.
The national poll has a strong Cascade Conference flavor as three other
members are ranked 13 or higher in the country. Albertson has the 13th spot
while Warner Pacific has rocketed to the 7th spot on the strength of their 8-0
record. Oregon Tech is the #2 ranked team in the nation at 11-0.
