Tim Camp

Head Coach (1st Season)

 

Tim Camp begins his inaugural season at the helm of the Eastern Oregon University Football Program.  Hired on February 11th Camp brings with him 13 years of coaching experience, including his time here as an assistant at EOU.

 

Coach Camp served on the Mountaineer staff for two seasons prior to becoming the head coach. Camp served as offensive line coach, recruiting coordinator and camp coordinator. He has also coached four all Frontier Conference offensive linemen.

 

Before coming to La Grande Tim served as the offensive coordinator at Bucknell University. Bucknell is a member of the prestigious Patriot League and competes at the NCAA Division I-AA level. While at Bucknell, Camp led an offense that was in the top ten nationally in rushing offense for the past two seasons and won six and seven games in 2004 and 2005, respectively. Prior to his time at Bucknell, Camp was the offensive line and tight ends coach at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. In 2002 the UNO offense rushed for nearly 3,000 yards, 43 touchdowns and averaged 290 yards on the ground per game.

 

Camp's playing career was a good one.  Tim was a four year starter on the Offensive Line at Oregon State University where he earned his bachelors degree in Sociology in 1995.  After a stellar career as a Beaver Tim signed a free agent contract with the San Diego Chargers.

Zach Tinker

Offensive Coordinator

 

Zach Tinker is in his 1st season as an assistant coach at Eastern Oregon University.  Tinker last coached at Southern Oregon University as the Special Teams Coordinator.  Prior to that the Shorewood Washington native was an assistant at his alma mater, Western Washington.

 

Before getting into college coaching, Tinker worked as an assistant at Meridian High School in Bellingham, Washington.  While there the team went to two consecutive state championship games, winning the title in 1999.  At EOU Tinker will serve as the Offensive Coordinator.

Lawrence "Legi" Suiaunoa

Defensive Coordinator

 

Legi Suiaunoa enters his first year at Eastern Oregon University.  Coach Legi comes to EOU after spending the last 4 seasons at Western Washington University, where he coached the Linebackers in 2000 then the Defensive Line in his final three seasons.  In 2008 Suiaunoa added Strength Coach to his duties at WWU. 

 

Prior to his stint at Western, Coach Legi was a Graduate Assistant at his Alma Mater, the University of Nevada.  There he worked with the Defensive Backs.  Coach Legi began his coaching career at Palomar College in San Marcos, CA where he coached Linebackers for two seasons.  At EOU Legi will serve as the Defensive Coordinator.

 

Before entering the coaching ranks, the Oceanside, California native and 1997 graduate of El Camino High School, was a three year letter winner for the University of Nevada, where he played Linebacker.  Legi graduated from Nevada with a General Studies Administration degree.

Dustin Murray

Assistant Coach

 

2008 will mark the first season of collegiate coaching for Murray.  Dustin joins a young energetic Mountaineer staff put together by Head Coach Tim Camp.  Like Camp, Murray played his college football at Oregon State University.  While in Corvallis the Middleton, Idaho native lettered as a starter on the special teams. 

 

After two seasons with the Beavers under Head Coach Dennis Erickson, Murray transferred to Idaho State where he finished his collegiate playing career, earning his BA in Psychology in 2007.

Ryan Warner

Assistant Coach

Ryan Warner will begin his first season as an assistant under second year Head Coach Tim Camp. Warner enters the coaching profession after a successful career playing at EOU.  Warner recently graduated with a B.S. degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics last spring.  Next year the John. Chapin High grad will begin work on his masters degree at Eastern.  His duties will include coaching the tight ends and assistant Coach Camp with the Offensive Line.

Ty Murdock

Graduate Assistant

Ty Murdock enters his first season as a Graduate Assistant Coach after a successful playing career at EOU.  The four year starter will begin his coaching career working with the Defensive Line under 2nd year Head Coach Tim Camp.  The Boise, Idaho native and Kuna High School graduate earned his degree from Eastern Oregon University in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.  Coach Murdock will be pursuing a graduate degree in Business Administration.

Adam Donnelly

Graduate Assistant

Donnelly joins the Mountaineer staff in 2009 as a graduate assistant.  His coaching duties will include assisting with the Linebackers and all aspects of the special teams.  The 2005 graduate of Grants Pass High School was a four year letterman and impact player on defense and special teams for the Mountaineers.  This season the three time Academic All-Conference performer will work towards his masters in Business.

Riley Devins

Graduate Assistant

Devins will enter his first season in coaching on the Mountaineer staff in 2008 after finishing a fine four year playing career at EOU.  The graduate of Sealey-Swan High School was an impact player in the defensive backfield with 3 interceptions and a team high 111 interception return yards.

 

This season the three time Academic All-Conference performer will work towards his masters degree and coach the Defensive Backs.

Kyle Dalsoglio

Student Assistant

 

Kyle will begin his first season as a student assistant under Head Coach Tim Camp.  Dalsoglio played his college football at EOU and will graduate with a degree in Physical Education this Spring.  Next Year the Capital High grad will begin work on his masters degree at Eastern.
