Julianna Looney

Athletic Administrative Assistant

Julianna Looney began as the Administrative Assistant to Athletics in 2006. Prior to joining the Mountaineers Looney taught Science at La Grande High School and ran a successful personal trainer business. Julianna, a native Oregonian, is a graduate Of the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Exercise and Sports Science in 2001.

Julianna attended two years at EOU before transferring to UWL. While at UWL Looney participated in Cross-Country and Track and Field and was a member of two WIAC Conference Championship and NCAA D III National qualifying teams.

As the Administrative Assistant for Athletes her duties include; facility management, overseeing the day to day operations of the general office, supervising student workers and overseeing game day management for Mountaineer Events. In addition, Julianna works closely with the Mountaineer Booster Club and the entire staff providing administrative support. 

Julianna is an avid runner and holds numerous course records in the Pacific Northwest. She has competed in the Portland, Oregon and Bismark, North Dakota Marathons and will compete in the prestigious Boston Marathon in April of 2007. 

Julianna is married to head men’s basketball coach Ryan Looney and they are the proud parents of their running partner dog, Dash.
