Tech Rolls Against Eastern, 27-6

 

 

The stats are pretty even,however the score was not. The 21st-ranked Montana Tech Ore Diggers eased past EOU 27-6 on Saturday at Community Stadium.

 

Tech gained 282 yards of offense, while Eastern had 269 yards of offense. The key stat was turnovers.

 

It wasn't the best-looking game, that's for certain. EOU gave the ball away six times, four interceptions, and two fumbles. In comparison, Tech also gave the ball away six times, three interceptions and three fumbles.

 

Running back Corey Warner once again led the Ore Diggers gaining 119 yards on the ground on 29 carries. Matt Komac completed 13 of his 21 passes for 186 yards. Komac threw three touchdowns and three interceptions. Casey Kelly was Komac's main target catching seven balls for 150 yards.

 

James Mayfield had the biggest day for the Mountaineers catching five passes for 103 yards. Ian O'Brien completed six of his 20 passes for 86 yards, while Bradley Padayao threw for 62 yards and completed four of his ten attempts. Jordyn Jackson ran the ball eight times for a team high 49 yards.

 

EOU will finish its season next Saturday at Community Stadium against Montana State-Northern at noon PST.
