McLean Will Continue as Head Coach of Mountie Volleyball

The Eastern Oregon University Athletic Department announced today that
Kaki Mclean has been named Head Volleyball Coach. McLean served this
past season as interim head coach.

"Kaki was by far the best candidate and the best fit for this position"
stated Rob Cashell, Director of Athletics. " I truly believe that teams
take on the personality of their coach and the 2006 team showed the
competitive spirit, work ethic and class that made Kaki an all
Conference player for EOU."

The 2006 squad steadily improved throughout the season and made the
Cascade Collegiate Conference playoffs. The team handed Albertson
college one of only two game defeats all year and had several players
receive weekly and post season individual honors.

"I am very excited about being part of the athletic department as well
as leading the Volleyball program," stated McLean."I look forward to
building a great volleyball program as well as recruiting great student
athletes to EOU."

In 2007 the cascade conference will add Northwest Christian College as a
full member bringing the total schools to eleven.
