KIRKLAND, Wa. - Eastern Oregon 15-9, 12-6 CCC, lost a very close match in Kirkland versus their cross state rival Northwest University Eagles 8-12, 7-11 CCC.  This loss drops the Mounties to fifth place in the Cascade Collegiate Conference, one full game behind Oregon Institute of Technology who they were tied with for fourth going into tonights game.

The games rather grudge matches were all extremely close 28-30, 26-30, 30-28, and 29-31; the team played hard however in the end the mounties just didn't have enough gas to finish.  Grace Deboodt led the team with 20 kills, while Allisa Clinton dished off 22 assists.

On the bright side the Mountaineers have won 10 of their last 13 games and still have hopes of competing in the regional tournament in which they need to finish within the top three of the CCC in order to receive an automatic bid.   Next up is the College of Idaho, Tuesday November 6th in Caldwell Idaho.  Game starts at 7pm Mountain time.
