McCurry has been an assistant for the past three seasons for the Mountaineers.

The Boise, Idaho native was a standout participant for EOU.  McCurry was the Cascade Collegiate Conference cross country champion in 1999 and 2000 in the 5000 meter run.  On 1999, he finished 8th overall in the 10,000m run at the NAIA National Outdoor Track & Field Championships.  he currently holds positions in the top-5 at EOU in the 3000m, 5000m, and 10,000m runs.

McCurry's coaching experience does not include just assisting at EOU.  Pat was the head coach at Powder valley High School for a season after assisting at PVHS for four years.  He also spent a year as an assistant coach with the Apollos of Sunset High School in Portland.

While at Powder Valley, McCurry helped coach the Badgers to four state championship track & field teams and over 20 individual state champions.

Pat is currently running for Nike Portland.  Nike has afforded Pat the opportunity to gain valuable experience and for an excellent chance at running in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Greece.

McCurry graduated from EOU in 2000 and from Bishop Kelly High School in 1995.
