LA GRANDE, Ore. - Jamie Jo Cant (5-7, Jr., Guard, Imbler, Ore.) has been selected to the five-member 2nd team of the College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) District VIII College Division Scholar All-American team.
Cant, a Nursing student with a 3.71 GPA, is just one of many on a team of selfless Mountaineers that will be making a trip to the national stage.
Jamie Jo’s 12.1 points per game average leads the team in scoring, as does her 46 steals for the year.
She currently ranks 9th in Conference scoring, 4th in 3-point field
goal percentage (40%), and 7th in steals.
CoSIDA’s College
Division of District VIII is made up of NCAA II, NCAA III and NAIA
teams in Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Idaho, Nevada,
Alaska, Hawaii, and British Columbia.
Jamie Jo, along with her teammates,
will begin the Cascade Collegiate Conference playoffs on Tuesday at
home against the Conference's No. 8 seed. Game time at Quinn
Coliseum is set for 7 pm.
