LA GRANDE, Ore. - Eastern Oregon's
Jamie Jo Cant has been named Cascade Collegiate Conference Player of
the Week for December 1-7. This is Cant's second such
award. Last year's award came during the week of December 16-22,
2002.
Cant led the Mountaineers to wins over
Pacific University (90-72) and Walla Walla College (104-48).
During those two games, Cant averaged
19.5 points and 5.5 rebounds. She also shot .462 (12-26) from
the floor, including 6-of-13 from three-point range.
Jamie Jo currently lead the Conference
in free throw shooting at 85.7% (18-21). She is also 4th in the
Conference in scoring (13.9), 5th in steals (2.38), 6th in three-point
shooting (.405, 17-42), and is tied in 4th place with teammate Tricia
Haddock for three-point field goals made per game at 2.12.
