This weekend will mark
the end of a tough 2003 season for the Eastern Oregon volleyball team.
The Mountaineers will
host Warner Pacific College (8-17, 3-13 CCC) on Friday night, then
Cascade College (5-17, 1-15 CCC) on Saturday.
Friday's match against
Warner Pacific marks the last team that the Mountaineers defeated.
It was back on
October 4 in five games (30-21, 23-30, 22-30, 30-25, 15-4).
Eastern will look to sweep the Lady Knights for the 2003 season.
The 2003 season
concludes Saturday with the Cascade College thunderbird in Quinn
Coliseum. Both team enter their weekend matches with identical
1-15 conference records.
Saturday will also The
two seniors to be honored prior to the Cascade College match will be Misty
Jenkin and Rhianna Stafford.
Jenkin will makes her
return to the squad after missing the past five matches with a
sprained foot.
Jenkin, a 5'9
right-side hitter from Mattawa, Wash., enters this weekend's matches
11 kills shy of 250 for her EOU career and two total blocks from 50. Stafford,
a 5'8 defensive specialist from Virginia City, Nev., had 115 digs and
42 aces in 45 matches played at Eastern.

weekend will
