LA GRANDE - The Mountaineer's brief one
game win streak came to an end tonight as Albertson (7-5, 6-3 CCC)
came into Quinn Coliseum and showed off one of their better offensive
displays of the season, dropping the Mountaineers in straight games;
30-20, 30-24, 30-22.
The Coyotes struck the ball at an
incredible .340 percentage with 46 kills and 14 errors on 94 attempts.
Eastern's had problems with Albertson's
serves as they committed 12 serve receive errors.
EOU's Kaki McLean led all
hitters with 12 kills and 7 digs. She and also had a .391
hitting percentage on the evening.
Tara Daly and Sarelle Parrish
each had six digs for the home team.
Eastern's Jamie Russell, who had
transferred from Albertson at the end of last season, led her
Mountaineer teammates in blocks with three.
Eastern will now enjoy a 10-day hiatus
before they take to the court at #19 Southern Oregon and Oregon Tech
on October 17 and 18.
