PORTLAND - The Mountaineer's Kaki
McLean had one of those night where you just tried to put the team on
your shoulders and carry them all the way to the finish line, but the
journey just came up short, as Eastern Oregon (1-14, 0-7 CCC) rallied
from a 0-2 game deficit to force a fifth game, only to lose 15-13 to
Cascade College.
McLean, a junior outside hitter from
Paulina, Ore., led Eastern with 16 kills, 13 digs and a match-high
nine aces, but the Mountaineers just could not pull the rabbit out of
the hat at the Thunderdome.
The win by cascade was the first
Conference victory of the season. Eastern still looks for their
first.
Eastern will try and get that first
conference win Saturday at Warner Pacific. Gametime is set for 7
PM.
