The Mountaineer
volleyball team will look to rebound after an 0-4 trip to Salem last
weekend.
"We were really
tired," said Ryan Platt, Mountaineer head coach. "Probably
more tired than we realized."
In their four matches,
the Mountaineers managed to win just one game, and that was against
The Evergreen State College. Eastern has lost 11 straight games
after that lone win against Evergreen.
Strange as it may
seem, yes, Eastern Oregon does have some games scheduled for Quinn
Coliseum this season... and they're this weekend.
"The team is
really anxious to perform in front a home crowd for a change."
stated Platt.
"After eight
matches on the road, with all the hotels and driving, we are all ready
for these matches in Quinn."
Eastern Oregon will
entertain Oregon Tech on Friday night, then face the 12th-ranked
Raiders of Southern Oregon on Saturday evening.
Last season Eastern
lost all four matches to their opponents for the week.
Even thought school
has not begun (September 29), the Eastern volleyball team will get
support from the Mountaineer football team, who will play the Menlo
Oaks on Saturday afternoon.
Both matches are
slated for 7 PM start times.
