Four Mountaineers named to National All-Scholar List

June 7, 2004

OLATHE, Kan. - Today, the NAIA, in conjunction with Daktronics, Inc., announced their All-American Scholar-Athletes for the 2004 softball season.  Four Mountaineers were honored: Adrienne Fullmer, Casi Reisenauer, Shannon Rasmussen, and Jayne-Leigh Thomas.

This is the second straight year that Reisenauer and Thomas have been named to the list.

Thomas, a senior right-hand pitcher from Selah, Wash., will graduate this spring with dual majors in Anthropology and Liberal Studies.  Jayne-Leigh  will also graduate Summa Cum Laude for the Class of 2004 at Eastern Oregon University.

Adrienne Fuller, spent her final season behind the dish for Coach Anji Weissenfluh.  Her major was in History.

Reisenauer, a senior shortstop from Spirit Lake, Idaho, will graduate this spring majoring in Psychology.

Rasmussen, also a Psychology major, is a junior pitcher/designated hitter from Everett, Wash.

A player must be a junior and carry at least a 3.5 GPA in order to be nominated to the Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete team.
