Thomas & reisenauer named to District Academic list

LA GRANDE, Ore. - Four-year softball pitcher Jayne-Leigh Thomas and All-Conference and All-Region shortstop Casi Reisenauer have been named to the first team of the 2004 Academic All-District VIII Softball Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

The players, selected from NCAA Division II, III and NAIA schools, are honored for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom.  The District VIII team encompasses the western part of the United States and Canada.

Thomas, will graduate Summa Cum Laude with dual degrees in Liberal Studies and Anthropology/Sociology. She carries a 3.92 grade point average and finished the 2004 season with a 6-7 win-loss record.

Reisenauer, who was also named to the first team, led the team in runs scored (29) and doubles (10). She was second on the team in batting average (.373), hits (50), steals (8), and runs batted in (27).

Reisenauer is a Psychology major and carries a 3.92 grade point average.
