After a 5-5 trip through Tucson and Caldwell, the Eastern Oregon University softball team will continue with Cascade Conference play today at Concordia and concluding tomorrow at upstart Western Baptist College.

Eastern (9-8, 2-3 CCC) snuck by the Concordia Cavaliers 4-3 last weekend at the CCC Pre-Season Tournament in Caldwell as Adrienne Fullmer scored on an RBI single by Nicole Landstrom.  Fullmer reached on a Cavalier fielding error and was advance to second on a TL Reardon sacrifice bunt.

The Mountaineers and Concordia doubleheader starts at noon.

On Saturday, the Mountaineers will meet Western Baptist for a Cascade Collegiate Conference doubleheader beginning at noon.

The Warriors are beginning their first year of varsity intercollegiate softball after a year at the club level.

Western Baptist enters the weekend with an overall record of 13-10, including a very respective 3-2 in the CCC Pre-Season Tournament.  The Warriors defeated Eastern Oregon 6-1 in the first game of the tournament last weekend.

Casi Reisenauer and Shannon Rasmussen continue to impress with the bat as Reisenauer is currently batting .419, while Rasmussen is carrying a .349 batting average.  Reisenauer leads the team with 18 hits and three stolen bases.

In the pitching circle, Rasmussen lead the team with a 1.62 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 33 1/2 innings pitched.

Eastern Oregon will return home next weekend to play their first home games of the season.  The Mountaineers will host Southern Oregon and Oregon Tech.  The doubleheaders will be played on Friday and Saturday, which has been changed due to the Eastern Sunday holiday.
