ANNOUNCE PARTICIPATION IN NCAA FOOTBALL’S TAKE A KID TO THE GAME
PROGRAM
Community encouraged to bring a youngster to this weekend's game

GRANDE, Ore. – Area
youngsters will have an opportunity to experience the college game-day
atmosphere when Eastern Oregon University hosts NCAA®
Football’s annual Take a Kid to the Game®
(TAKG) program presented by Coca-Cola, November 1.
Kids, ages 12 and younger, will receive free
admission with the purchase of a $5 general admission ticket,
to watch the Mountaineers take on Whitworth College at Community
Stadium.
Eastern
Oregon University is one of more than 190 schools across the nation
that are participating in this campaign focused on attracting more of
the nation’s youths to college games.
The Take a Kid to the Game®
program is entering it eighth year in the promotion of NCAA®
Athletics.
“We
are very excited to once again be participating in the NCAA Take a Kid
to the Game initiative,” said Rob
Cashell, athletic director at Eastern Oregon.
“Last year's game against the NAIA's eventual national
champion, Carroll College, was well participated. Our wish is
that all of the young kids in our immediate area will have the
opportunity to experience the one-of-a-kind atmosphere that is NCAA
Division III football.”
Tickets
for this special game, which become available the day-of-the-game, can
be purchased at the ticket ticket booth beginning at 2:00 p.m.
