The Eastern Oregon University Colloquia and its ancestors have continuously operated as a venue for the sharing of academic research and pedagogy for over thirty years. It began its existence as the Division of Science Colloquia within the School of Arts and Sciences and four years ago it was broadened to include the entire university.
Colloquia presenters have come from almost every part of the Eastern
community and have included distinguished guests from other
universities. The Colloquia has always been dedicated to making serious
academic work accessible for colleagues in other disciplines,
undergraduate students, and interested members of the larger community.
This year the Colloquia is under the co-leadership of Dr. Jodi Varon, Professor of English/Writing (jvaron@eou.edu) and Dr. M. Ruth Davenport, Professor of Education (rdavenpo@eou.edu).
