Definition:
Students with an EOU cumulative GPA of 2.000 or better who are, therefore, in Good Standing will be given an Academic Warning if their term GPA drops below 2.000. First-term freshmen who fail to achieve a 2.000 will be given an Academic Warning. This is a caution to the student that there is a lack of satisfactory academic progress. The second and subsequent academic warnings will require a conference with the student's appropriate academic advisor.
Students on Academic Warning retain all student privileges. Students are contacted by letter/email and are strongly encouraged to utilize the various services of the University that are outlined in the letter. These services are designed to assist students with their academic success. Students with two or more terms below 2.000 will be required to meet with a designated advisor prior to registering for that term. This hold prevents the student from registering, paying fees, and adding/dropping courses.
