Apply for financial aid!
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov anytime after January 1 every year. The EOU school code is 003193. Apply early, as some financial aid funds are limited. For answers about financial aid at EOU, please visit www.eou.edu/fao, or contact our Financial Aid Office at fao@eou.edu, call toll free 800-452-8639 ext. 2 or 541-962-3550. Notification of your financial aid package will be sent as early as March.
Apply for scholarships!
View opportunities for EOU and other outside scholarships online at www.eou.edu/fao/scholarships. Remember to watch for scholarship deadlines!
Submit your enrollment deposit (starting with fall term 2013 applicants)
Submit your non-refundable $50 enrollment deposit to: Student Accounts Office, One University Blvd., La Grande, OR 97850; call with your credit card number at 541-962-3590; or pay electronically at www.eou.edu/staccts/payment-portal.
This deposit confirms you will begin at EOU for the term admitted and it will be credited toward your tuition and fees. It is a down payment to hold your place among newly admitted students and signals action by other enrollment related offices to assist you.
Complete your on-campus housing application!
Applies to on-campus students only and you must be admitted to access the application. For answers about housing, please visit www.eou.edu/reslife, contact our Residence Life Office by e-mail at reslife@eou.edu, or call toll free 800-452-8639 ext. 7 or 541-962-3553.
Contact Advising!
You have been assigned a personal academic adviser who will work with you to create a college plan, determine whether or not you need to take Accuplacer (our math and writing placement tool at www.eou.edu/admissions/placement) and get registered for the classes you need to complete your degree. Get online!
“Webster” is the online course registration and student information system. You can access Webster and directions for using it from the EOU home page. Your user ID is the 9-digit student ID number assigned by EOU (on your letter enclosed with this checklist) or your social security number. Your first PIN is your birth date in the format YYMMDD. www.eou.edu/it/webster
Turn in your immunization verification!
The immunization form is required to verify your vaccination or immunity against measles and you’ll need it in order to register for classes. You can bring it with you to Mountaineer Day or send a paper copy to us in the mail.
