The Administrative Rules of the Oregon State Board of Higher Education permit the individual member institutions to enter into agreements with local law enforcement agencies for the enforcement of laws and statutes affecting the security and well-being of the campus. Eastern Oregon University has such agreements with the law enforcement agencies in the La Grande area.
In addition, campus security is coordinated by the Security Supervisor at Facilities and Planning. Campus Patrol Officers, without law enforcement authority, are employed to check buildings and grounds and to enforce parking regulations. Campus Security can be reached at 962-3911.
