Master of Arts in Teaching – MAT

The MAT Program is a graduate teacher preparation program designed to help students obtain Preliminary Oregon Licensure in either an Elementary-Multiple Subjects or Secondary-Single Subject Area(s) and to enable students to earn a Master of Arts in Teaching Degree.


Master of Business Administration

The MBA program at Eastern Oregon University provides a quality package of professional training and enhancement. Master of Fine Arts Creative Writing

The Eastern Oregon University Low Residency MFA Program is a two-year, 60-credit hour program. Starting in July of each year, students enrolled in the program will spend two weeks in residence at EOU. This July residency combines creative nurturing and academic rigor as we build a community of writers.


Master of Healthcare Administration

In Eastern Oregon University’s online Master of Healthcare Administration program, students participate in practical, applied experiential learning activities to prepare for leadership and administrative roles in the field. The flexible course of study, taught by healthcare administrative professionals, prepares graduates to manage people and operations in both urban and rural health administration facilities, hospitals, specialty clinics, and other health services organizations.


Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling

EOU’s Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling offers a broad foundation in evidence-based, ethical practice for students through courses on theories, techniques, individuals, couples, families, and typical specialty areas such as trauma, addictions, and working with children. All courses are offered online, in a blend of synchronous, asynchronous, and online weekend residency courses. Students finish the Masters degree with a minimum of 700 hours of hands-on experience counseling in community settings, positioning them for success as future CMHCs.


Master of Science in Education

The Master of Science in Education is intended to provide the student with a strong graduate-level course of study related to the field of education.  There are many online concentration options; Curriculum Leadership Concentration, Dyslexia Concentration, ESOL Concentration, Literacy Concentration, Special Education Concentration and Trauma in Educational Communities Concentration. While the MS program will not lead to a teaching license, the program is not limited to licensed teachers.  If you are a graduate student wishing to pursue a teaching license, please refer to our MAT program.
